What is the difference between VORP and RedEM:RP?
VORP is the most widely used RP framework on RedM, with a large ecosystem of resources. RedEM:RP (and RSG) is also a popular alternative; the choice depends on the scripts you want to use. Both work on Gamost.
Do I need Red Dead Redemption 2 to play on RedM?
Yes, each player must own a legal copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. RedM is the community multiplayer client, similar to FiveM for GTA V.
How do I install my RP resources on RedM?
You upload your resources to the resources folder via the panel's file manager or SFTP, then activate them in server.cfg with the ensure command. txAdmin makes management and restarts easy.
Is a license key required for RedM?
Yes, just like FiveM, a free server key generated on keymaster is required. You add it to your server.cfg during the initial setup. This free license allows up to 48 slots, and our RedM servers are configured within that limit.
Which plan should I choose for my RedM server?
It depends on your slot count and your resources. The 4 GB plan gets an RDR2 RP server started with up to 12 slots, the 6 GB plan handles VORP or RSG RP with up to 24 slots, and the 8 GB plan, which we recommend, runs a full RP with maps and resources and up to 32 slots.
